When the Samsung Galaxy SIII was released early last year, everyone knew how big of a deal it was. After all, it was widely considered as the most powerful phone of its time, well ahead of any other phone out there and soon it became clear that the Samsung Galaxy SIII was THE phone to beat of 2012.
It seems like only yesterday when the Samsung Galaxy SIII dominated the market. But now, as a follow-up to the most powerful smartphone ever, Samsung released the Samsung Galaxy S4, which, by the looks of it, is guaranteed to blow our minds with its multitude of functions and sheer power.
While not deviating too much from the SIII design-wise, the S4 improves on its predecessor where it matters most – the display and the insides.
The screen on the S4 is only marginally larger than the SIII – just 0.2 inches larger. Where it massively improves on is the resolution, with the S4 now sporting a full HD 1080p Super AMOLED display. A mouthful perhaps, but you can be sure that you will get an eyeful once you get to experience just how vibrant the screen on the S4 is.
Speaking of mouthfuls, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.9gHz quad-core processor , coupled with 2GB of RAM is responsible for the sorcery that goes in inside the unit. The S4 can do dozens of resource-intensive apps just like that, without even slowing down one tiny bit. This is also made easier by the stylish TouchWiz user interface that Samsung has installed in their latest flagship model, seamlessly putting together apps and other functions and making it easier for the user to access them, much more so than the SIII and any other phone out there.
Of course, for the phone to do this, it would need to have an incredible battery as well. Thankfully, the 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery could last you a long time even with heavy use.
For the camera, Samsung has done something that has never been done before – the ability to take photos and videos on both the front and back cameras simultaneously and at the same 1080p resolution. The 13megapixel back-facing camera stands out in particular, with a bunch of features that separates it from basic point-and-click ones.
An awesome phone like this can only be made better with plans that are stacked to the bone. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is available under for free Sun Cellular’s Plan 1799, which includes unlimited mobile internet, unlimited texts to ALL networks, and 100 minutes of Sun calls. The S4 is also available for free under Sun Cellular Plan 1599, which also includes unlimited mobile internet, as well as 500 texts to all networks and 5 minutes of Sun Calls. How’s that for value?
With this, it is very obvious that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is an absolute beast, and will still prove to be the phone to beat this 2013. You can only wonder as to what the future holds for the Galaxy line, because the Samsung Galaxy S4 is as close to a perfect smartphone as you can get.
