Sun Business, the corporate arm of leading telecommunications company Sun Cellular, expands its portfolio of clients with yet another addition to its list of corporate clientele, this time with the Mater Carmeli School.

Novaliches-based Mater Carmeli School is a Catholic educational institution housing students from kindergarten up to the high-school level. Owned and managed by the Carmelite Missionaries, the school offers top-notch education to its students, while at the same time instilling the Catholic values and principles that the institution is founded upon.

Under its partnership with Sun Business, the Mater Carmeli School enjoys seamless monitoring for its students using Sun Business’ Gatekeeper service. This solution alerts parents or guardians each time their children enters and exits the school through real-time SMS. This service also allows Mater Carmeli School to manage their parent and student information through a dedicated, user-friendly software that automatically generates reports and regularly updates its database.

The Gatekeeper service leverages mainly on its RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) system, ensuring straightforward processing of student information. The system works by students swiping their own RFID cards on the card readers readily available at the school gates. The card reader then processes the data and sends the information to the Sun Cellular servers, which would in turn notify the parents of their children’s whereabouts via SMS.
